Environmental and Social Management Plan

This Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) is proposed as part of the "Sustainable Landscapes in Eastern Madagascar" Project (the "Project"), and this in accordance with the performance standards (NP) of the Fund Green for Climate (GCF)3 as well as EIB's NESPs and Conservation International's Safeguard Policies (SPs) as GCF Accredited Entities. The ESMP aims to reduce and minimize the negative environmental or social impacts of this Project on the populations around its areas of intervention. The ESMP is also a mechanism that meets GCF, EIB and CI standards, aimed at identifying the social and environmental risks and impacts of projects.
