National Association of Environmental Actions

The National Association of Environmental Actions (ANAE), non-profit association, is an organization attached to the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development created in 1991, actor in the field of environment and development. The ANAE aims to contribute to the development of sustainable management of natural resources and to improve rural life in order to guarantee the well-being of the ecosystem and human well-being. Its missions are:

• To promote environmental protection and socio-economic development in Madagascar,
• To contribute to the establishment of a sustainable management of natural resources and to the improvement of the rural living environment,
• Facilitate the awareness, development and effective transfer of technical and organizational knowledge allowing the improvement of the management capacities of the various local actors.

The targets of the association are particularly rural communities. The association operates mainly in the Bongolava, Alaotra Mangoro, Atsinanana and Atsimo Andrefana regions, but with its 27 years of experience, the association can operate throughout Madagascar.
