BMZ- German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is responsible within the Federal Government for German development policy. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide the framework for our actions under the United Nations and the Paris Climate Agreement.
The focus is on the commitment against poverty and hunger and for healthy people in a healthy environment. The BMZ sees itself as a ministry of transformation that promotes conversion to a sustainable, climate-friendly and nature-friendly economy worldwide and at the same time strengthens peace, freedom and human rights.
To do this, it agrees on bilateral cooperation with its partner countries around the world and promotes strong multilateralism based on the SDGs.
